Dear Subscribers and Occasional Visitors,

My last post entitled Class Warfare I was published about a week ago and should have been rapidly followed by Class Warfare II. But I have not, for various pretty good reasons, had the time to write it. We are now on the cusp of Holy Week and I must leave you for the next 10 days. This is the one time in the year when this deacon urges people (including himself) to look inward rather than to work on their discipleship in the real world outside the church walls. It is time to refuel. And the best way I know to do that is to live the church calendar from Palm Sunday through Easter while attempting to shut out most or all of the noise that the world throws at us. So, despite the very strong temptation to write a real screed of a post about how Fox News personalities are now running the country, I will put such thoughts aside until after Holy Week. May your Holy Week and Easter give you the fuel you need to tilt at some more windmills in the weeks and months ahead.
